My sister takes beautiful photographs and we are so lucky to have had her here to capture the first few days. All of our best pictures of Ace and now Jack are all her work. Thanks Jenn!

Meeting my baby brother

Ace was soooo excited to meet his baby brother. He did so well in the hospital and holding Jack- much better than we anticipated. And he had no problem with the concept that brother was in mommy's tummy but now is out. He is an amazing little 3 year old and I'm sure I underestimate just how much he knows!

Ace is so cute with "Baby Jack". And Jacoby looks so much like Andrew when he was born. You can definitely tell they're brothers!

Baby Jack arrives

The newest Dourgarian arrived August 15. Healthy and crying his lungs out!

Baby day is here! We get there at 5am to wait patiently for our newest addition.

Dad looks remarkably calm...

And here he is.... the little squished face and serious expression looked exactly like a Jack, thus Jacoby Leo Dourgarian.
Poor little guy cried nearly non-stop for the first hour. Then, luckily, he decided it wasn't so bad after all and calmed right down.
What a precious little guy!!

Auntie and Talitha visit

Auntie Jenn and Talitha came to visit for baby brother's arrival. We went to the beach and had so much fun-digging in the sand, collecting rocks, wading in the water. The water was soooo cold, but warmer than our last visit. Talitha wasn't even phased by the temperature- she jumped right in and Ace followed.

We always have a great time with Jenn and T. The kids are just like brother and sister- fighting one minute and giving hugs and kisses the next. It is so much fun to watch them together and we are very thankful they can come visit!

Our tunnel and tent from Ikea was a favorite toy this visit...peek-a-boo, hide and seek, catapillar, it was all fun.

Before baby brother

Before the baby was born I was lucky enough to take 2 weeks off to spend with Ace before his whole little world changed with the new addition. We had a fabulous time at the zoo, the park, just hanging out painting. Here's the artist at work...

Such studious concentration. Apparently the tongue thing is a family trait from Dad. I guess it helps with concentration...

Grandma and Grandpa's house

We made a trip to Grandma and Grandpa Dourgarian's house. Cousin Jonathan was there and we had a great time playing together in the playhouse. We ate pretend rock pizza and hot dogs and Grandma came out to play with us. She even got into the house with us-she really gets into it! What a great day!
